Your grades are a very important part of the college recruiting process.<\/p>\n\n

Athletic ability is a coach\u2019s prime target, but without the grades to support and complement your resume, you could be passed over. \u00a0That is the reason that athletes, and their parents must understand the importance of keeping an eye on your grades throughout high school.<\/p>\n\n

\ud83d\udea9The four questions coaches ask<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

College coaches ask four questions when they discover prospects they may want to recruit:<\/p>\n\n

  1. Can the athlete compete at our level?<\/li>\n
  2. Can he or she improve our team?<\/li>\n
  3. Will the athlete be admitted to our college and will they be able to stay here?<\/li>\n
  4. If so, how much academic money will he or she qualify to receive?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

    \ud83d\udea9Grades closely trail athleticism<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

    Of course, coaches want to recruit athletes capable of competing at their level. \u00a0\u00a0Every roster spot is precious to coaches, and each recruited athlete is expected to contribute. \u00a0The scholarship money they spend on recruits is a true investment\u00a0in their programs and their institutions.<\/p>\n\n

    \ud83d\udea9Grades \u2013 a link to athletic opportunities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

    The higher a high school athlete\u2019s GPA and test scores, the more college opportunities will be available. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n
